The Los Angeles Lakers have the second overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, and while it's unclear who they will actually select with it, each passing day brings more signs it will be Duke freshman forward Brandon Ingram wearing purple and gold next season.
The Philadelphia 76ers have the first overall pick in what is mostly considered to be a two player draft, and they appear to have LSU's own star freshman, Ben Simmons, at the top of their draft board. Head coach Brett Browncompared the Australian sensation to LeBron James and Magic Johnson in the same breath, and Bryan Colangelo says the Sixers aren't afraid of early reports Simmons would attempt to force his way to the Lakers.
All of that points to Simmons ending up in Philadelphia, a scenario that would leave the Lakers with Ingram. That's fine, because we now have evidence Ingram is totally cool hanging out with guys wearing Lakers jerseys (via Olivier Rogers' Instagram):
Ingram, didn't go quite as far as Simmons, who actually took a picture in a Lakers jersey this year, but combined with comments during his draft workout that he'll be happy to go wherever he's drafted, it seems like the Lakers will have a happy rookie no matter who they end up with.
