O'Shea Jackson, Jr. is most famous for playing his father, O'Shea Jackson, Sr. (better known as Ice Cube) in the movie "Straight Outta Compton," but he is also a die-hard Lakers fan. Late on Friday night and into Sunday morning, the actor went fired off a "tweetstorm" about Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and NBA fans as a whole.
It seemed worth capturing, and you can check it out below (warning: NSFW language):
Fans of one great player so often seem threatened by the rise of another superstar, something Jackson seems to have noticed and taken issue with, and he has a point. It's one thing to hate Curry, James, Bryant, or whoever when they are eviscerating your team, but against a neutral opponent? Sometimes it's a lot more fun to just sit back and enjoy some beautiful and historic basketball.
Far be it from me to tell anyone how to enjoy sports, but tearing down another player's accomplishments to prop up the legacy of one of your personal favorites doesn't seem like the most enjoyable way to consume the game.
