Kobe Bryant's 60-point performance against the Utah Jazz was a nice little bow on the Los Angeles Lakers worst season ever, but that season is wrapped up now. With their 17-65 season now in the books, TNT's "Inside the NBA" continued their tradition of sending all of the NBA's non-playoff teams on a photoshopped fishing trip, and the Lakers got their turn on Sunday night:
Yup, here's @NBAonTNT's Gone Fishin' on the #Lakers: pic.twitter.com/49rYh61dy2

Why yes, TNT went there, and that is D'Angelo Russell in a surveillance boat off of Kobe's yacht, where Bryant is enjoying retirement by taking selfies with Jack Nicholson. Poor Nick Young and Kenny Smith got stuck in a rickety rowboat, and apparently King Kong is preparing to attack Los Angeles for some reason while a volcano erupts. It's exactly the kind of bonkers humor we've grown to expect from the crew at TNT.
Who knows, next year we could see Bryant as a part of that crew. He certainly has some past experience sending teams fishing.
