Kobe Bryant, the man who has manned the Los Angeles Lakers' shooting guard spot for the majority of the last 20 years, is retiring following the team's Wednesday night matchup with the Utah Jazz. The Lakers are finishing up their third consecutive season not only in the lottery, but posting the worst record in the history of the franchise to boot.
With both of those facts, Lakers fans would be forgiven for having a gloomy outlook on the franchise's future. For those wanting to feel better about those prospects, never fear, because YouTube user MambaDontFear is here to inject you with a dose of optimism about the future of the Lakers' shooting guard slot, Jordan Clarkson.
The highlight mix, set to Logic's 'Lord Willin'' (lyrics NSFW) is filled with examples of Clarkson's improved shooting, his continuing ability to get to the rim with ease, and even a few nifty passes. The whole thing will get any Lakers fan hyped:
Clarkson needs to improve as a facilitator and defender, but this video once again emphasizes that he was easily the steal of the 2015 NBA draft (thanks Washington!) and that the Lakers would be foolish to let him go this summer.
