Charles Barkley says it's been 'an honor and a privilege' watching Kobe Bryant play

A current Hall of Famer had some words of appreciation for a future one.

Kobe Bryant will play in his final NBA game on Wednesday when the Los Angeles Lakers host the Utah Jazz in their home finale. The game will bring a close to a legendary 20-year long career, which has led to many public "thank you's" directed Kobe's way.

Perhaps the most public honor Bryant will receive in the lead-up to his final NBA game is Nike declaring the last day of his career, April 14th, "Mamba Day." The shoe apparel giant released a memorable advertisement promoting the event over the weekend, featuring famous athletes from across the athletic spectrum sharing what Bryant meant to them.

Hall of Famer and TNT pundit Charles Barkley is also involved with Nike, and he interrupted Tuesday's episode of "Inside the NBA" to put his Nikes up on the desk and share his appreciation for Bryant.

"I want to say this to the great Kobe Bryant: Thank you for an amazing career," said Barkley. "It's been an honor and a privilege for me to get to watch you play, and man, enjoy retirement. You hit the lottery of life, you hit the Powerball."
