Kobe Bryant was contending for titles when Kevin Durant first came into the NBA. Durant and the young, talented Oklahoma City Thunder eventually rose to challenge Bryant's Lakers. The Lakers defeated the Thunder 4-2 in the 2010 playoffs en route to the NBA Finals. The Thunder returned the favor two seasons later with a 4-1 triumph over LA. Now Durant and the Thunder will see Kobe for the last time.
Durant and Russell Westbrook will shine against a weak LA defense. Former Thunder guard James Harden was able to dismantle the Lakers on Sunday with 40 points and 13 assists. Expect big nights for Durant and Westbrook.
Bryant will try to put on a show in his second-to-last game and will abandon any type of ball movement to do so. Even his teammates will try to feed Bryant the ball in an attempt to let Kobe do his thing. D'Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson have progressed well throughout the season and making them play more in the final two games of the season isn't going to have any major impact either way on their development. This is all about Kobe.
