The Los Angeles Lakers have just 10 games left in their season, but really it''s about the 10 final games of Kobe Bryant's career. The Lakers have already announced that Kobe is committed to playing Sunday against the Washington Wizards and Monday against the Utah Jazz, so it sounds like he's locked in for the final push before retirement.
It's been a long, winding road since the Lakers last saw the Wizards. Their only other meeting came on Dec. 2, with the Lakers gathering their third win of the season on the shoulders of Kobe putting up a team-high 31 points. John Wall was dominant with 34 points and 11 assists.
Alan Anderson and Markieff Morris are both listed as questionable. D'Angelo Russell suffered a moderate ankle sprain against the Denver Nuggets and is considered doubtful. Russell was helped off the court and back to the locker room, where he immediately underwent X-rays. Results came back negative, but it's unclear how long the sprain will sideline Russell in the final games of his rookie season.
The '15-16 Lakers can see the finish line now and will hit single-digit games left in the year once they get through 48 minutes of Wall thrashing their perimeter defense. Enjoy the game!
