Lakers vs. Bucks Final Score: Bucks stampede over Lakers in 108-101 loss

The Lakers couldn't keep up with galloping Giannis.

Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Lakers were ran out of the building in a 108-101 wire-to-wire loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks stampeded up and down the court, dunking everything in there sight on fast breaks. The Lakers looked like a car with four flat tires, an empty tank of gas and no AC trying to keep up with the galloping Giannis Antetokounmpo, with Miles Plumlee dropping the hammer repeatedly for good measure.

Nothing was going for the Lakers offensively, with Kobe Bryant making just three of his 12 attempts and Lou Williams going 2-of-12 from the field. D'Angelo Russell scored nine points and had four assists in his second start since the All-Star break. Jordan Clarkson was the lone bright spot early in the game, making four of his six three-point attempts and continuing his streak of hot shooting. Julius Randle had a very quiet night, scoring just five points with seven rebounds.

Antetokounmpo soared through the sky on his way to a game-high 27 points, crushing the Lakers defense all night. He ended the night with his first career triple-double, tacking on 12 rebounds and 10 assists on his impressive night. O.J. Mayo handled the Bucks' perimeter shooting, matching Clarkson's four made threes. The brunt of Milwaukee's work was in the paint, though, where they scored 58 points without much resistance from Los Angeles.

This one was never in question, with Marcelo Huertas staring the fourth quarter as the metaphorical white flag of surrender being raised after the trampling they took through three quarters. The Lakers are off Tuesday, travelling to Memphis to face the Grizzlies on Wednesday. Until then, fear the deer.
