Lakers vs. Bulls Game Preview: This doesn’t look pretty

This could get into “oh no” territory quickly for the Lakers..

NBA: Chicago Bulls at Los Angeles Lakers Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Lakers face off against the Chicago Bulls just 24 hours removed from a deflating and disappointing loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. Nick Young has been ruled out of the game, leaving the Lakers without their leading three-point shooter.

There’s no way around being concerned about this one taking a turn for the worst in a hurry for Los Angeles. They’re coming off of one of their worst games, are playing back-to-back and were decimated by Jimmy Butler when they last played. The Bulls easily handled the Lakers in Los Angeles, and that was without Dwyane Wade and on the second night of their own back-to-back.

The circumstances look even worse for Wednesday night, as the backcourt injuries have begun stacking just enough to become a serious cause for concern while the Lakers try to hold on to their .500 ways. They lacked the outside oomph Young’s provided all season Tuesday night, which hurts even more with D’Angelo Russell also out.

The Lakers didn’t magically grow a defense that can stop Butler from slicing through them, and with the injuries they’re dealing with, this is going to be a very tough outing for them. Enjoy the game. If you can.
