Video: The Lakers celebrated their win over the Pelicans by rapping on the team plane

Los Angeles loves basketball (and rapping).

The Los Angeles Lakers are 6-4 ten games into the season, the sixth-best record in the Western conference. Their sixth win of the year came on November 12th against the New Orleans Pelicans. The Lakers did not get their sixth win of the year until December 30th against the Boston Celtics last season. After a franchise-worst 17 win season in 2015-16, it is totally understandable that the team is feeling themselves a little bit and ready to have some fun.

For Nick Young, the team’s success has led to some talk of playoff hopes. For veteran Lou Williams, who is leading the Lakers in scoring at 16.4 points per game on a true-shooting percentage (which takes into account the added value of three-pointers and free throws) of 60.5 percent, it led to some freestyling on the team plane to Minnesota. Young and Jordan Clarkson thankfully brought us footage, courtesy of their Instagram stories:

No matter where the Lakers ultimately end up in the standings when the season is over, seeing the team have fun and in their words “love basketball” has certainly been enjoyable to witness.
