Nick Young's 2016 got off to a bit of a rocky start offensively as the Los Angeles Lakers' bench scorer went 3-11 from the field in the team's first game of the New Year. Young was able to find other ways to contribute to the team's win over the Philadelphia 76ers however, swiping 4 steals and continuing to put more effort and focus on the defensive end of the floor in the 2015-16 season.
Young's year was already made off the court when Kanye West name-dropped him in his latest song, a diss track aimed and West and Young's rival shoe label Nike titled "Facts," on Thursday night. Young's teammates thought they would never hear the end of it from him, and while Young's initial reaction was understated, he was unable to hold back after the Lakers' seventh victory of the season, quoting Kanye's verse about him in an Instagram post celebrating the purple and gold's victory after the game:
Young wasn't done with his postgame fun. After Russell video-bombed teammate Julius Randle's postgame interview following the Lakers' victory over the Celtics, Young did the same to Russell when he interrupted the rookie's interview to accuse him of stealing his clothes. Seriously:

The Lakers are on a two game game wining streak and undefeated in 2016, and it's nice to see the team taking some time to enjoy what was supposed to be a much more fun season than it has proven to be.
