Byron Scott is notorious for running Pat Riley inspired, wind-sprint until you puke or pass out practices. For this reason, the second year Lakers head coach had some good news to share about the team's conditioning after the first practice of training camp!
Byron: "Not one player was out of shape. ... Usually guys are throwing up" after training camp. Not today.

This is bordering on too much information, but it is good to hear that the first day of practice (even though it went long) was not too much for the Lakers. The team will need all of it's players healthy if they hope to fulfill their goal of competing in a brutal Western Conference, and if everyone came to camp relatively in shape that could go a long way towards helping the purple and gold avoid the injury bug that has rampaged through the locker room in recent seasons.
