The Los Angeles Lakers' annual Christmas Day game is on its way to being finalized, with the Clippers expected to be the other half of the holiday special, reports Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times. It will be considered a Lakers home game.
The Lakers faced the Chicago Bulls on the road last season, which was the second Christmas Day game in a row in which Kobe Bryant was unavailable to play. We'll see if the Black Mamba's health holds up through the first leg of the season this time around to share winter cheer for Lakers fans.
Los Angeles is also expected to play against the Philadelphia 76ers on New Year's Day, per Bresnahan. The game will be at Staples Center, pitting No. 2 pick D'Angelo Russell against No. 3 pick Jahlil Okafor.
The new look for the NBA's Christmas Day jerseys leaked some time ago, themed around the idea of holiday greeting cards and sparkly winter wonder. If you missed them, you can head over here to get the first look at what the Lakers will be wearing against the Clippers.
