Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Lakers will open the 2015-2016 season against the Minnesota Timberwolves in Los Angeles on Oct. 28 at 10:30 p.m. PT on ESPN. The NBA has released the full 2015-2016 regular season schedule, laying out the Lakers' map for a new year. Lakers sideline reporter Mike Trudell published his annual schedule breakdown, which is always one of the best purple and gold summertime reads as he goes over some interesting tidbits related to the new season.

Opening night for the NBA features the Cleveland Cavaliers visiting the Chicago Bulls and the Golden State Warriors hosting the New Orleans Pelicans. The Lakers will have no shortage of coverage in what may Kobe Bryant's final regular season, set for 19 nationally televised games, according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst.

The purple and gold will have plenty of action throughout the holidays, as usual. The Lakers will host the Los Angeles Clippers on Christmas Day at 10:30 p.m. on ESPN, carrying on their tradition of playing over Christmas. The Philadelphia 76ers visit Staples Center on New Years Day. The final game of the Lakers' season is Apr. 13 in Los Angeles against the Utah Jazz.

The Lakers will hold training camp in Hawaii and hold their first preseason game in Honolulu on Oct. 4.
