The Machine is on his way back to the NBA. The New York Knicks have agreed to a one-year deal with former Los Angeles Lakers champion Sasha Vujacic, reports Shams Charania of Real GM. Vujacic last played for the Clippers, tallying a total of two games and 10 minutes during the '13-14 season.
Bringing Vujacic to New York gives the Knicks a player who knows the kind of system they're trying to run, even if his role is as a veteran who might only see limited rotation minutes. His familiarity with Triangle offense, along with head coach Derek Fisher and Phil Jackson, should be helpful.
Of course, Sasha's 31 now, hasn't played in the NBA for a few years, but he has been playing at the international level. He's a cult role player from the back-to-back championship era, so it'll at least be fun to see him get a few threes up.
