Los Angeles Lakers second-year guard Jordan Clarkson joined SiriusXM NBA Radio and talked a bit about his expectations for next season with the team, playing with Kobe Bryant, and staying on head coach Byron Scott's good side. He's also "hopeful" the Lakers can make a playoff push. Here's a handful of quotes from Clarkson their social media team shared:
"We definitely want to win games and hopefully make the playoffs. Taking it one day at a time." -@JClark5on on his outlook for the #Lakers

"He's the type of guy who you want to lay it all on the line for." @JClark5on on @kobebryant

"If you work hard & put everything on the line, he won't have a problem. If you mess around, Mad Byron comes out."-@JClark5on on Byron Scott

Jordan certainly bubbles with the same kind of optimism going forward that Julius Randle's mentioned. An actual playoff push seems like an absolute best case season playing out for the Lakers, with their mix of established players and young talent finding a groove together in a hurry.
But hey, who knows. Clarkson taking a step forward, D'Angelo Russell catching on quick, Randle making up for lost time and Kobe Bryant showing he can still dance could be enough to have the Lakers in the conversation. We'll see once what should be a very interesting season begins in October.
