Nick recently met with Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak and walked away feeling "more assured" about his status with the team going forward. He's currently in line to be the Lakers' backup small forward, playing minutes behind Kobe Bryant. Young spoke with media after his heroics and addressed trade rumors that the Los Angeles Lakers were seeking out a way to dump his salary, saying he "felt like Pau Gasol," as his name was swept up in trade talks, reports Serena Winters of Lakers Nation.
