Julius Randle sat down for an interview with Silver Screen and Roll's Drew Garrison and reiterated the importance of working on his shooting during the offseason. "Just keep getting better at shooting," Randle said when asked what he was most focused on during his time off.
This is not the first time Randle has said that developing his jumper will be important for him going forward, as he told media at Las Vegas Summer League that "for me to reach my potential and be as effective as I want to be, [my jumper] has to be a consistent part of my game." Clearly Randle has zeroed in on the thing he most wants to improve on as a player this offseason, and that singular focus will be important rather than trying to reach his full potential all at once.
Randle also mentioned that he was focused on "staying on top of my conditioning, physically doing everything I can to have my body ready for the whole season." If he can play the whole season and continue to develop alongside the rest of the Lakers' young core, that will be the first step in his stated goal to "get the Lakers back to where they used to be."
