Lakers Free Agency: Jeremy Lin drawing interest from Knicks, Mavericks and Kings

Jeremy Lin's time with the Lakers may be up, but he already has suitors lined up.

The Los Angeles Lakers added point guard D'Angelo Russell into the mix with the No. 2 pick of the 2015 NBA Draft and may lose Jeremy Lin to free agency. Lin is drawing interest from the Sacramento Kings (according to Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated), New York Knicks (according to Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders), and Dallas Mavericks (according to Tim McMahon of ESPN).

Lin struggled in his lone year with the Lakers, falling behind both Ronnie Price and Jordan Clarkson in Bryon Scott's rotation. There was a clear lack of understanding between Scott and Jeremy as the season progressed, and it certainly seemed like a longshot he'd be returning for another go-round with the Lakers. The addition of Russell only solidifies that.

A return to the Knicks would be an interesting turn, bringing him back to the team that launched his career. Dallas is looking for additional backcourt help following Monta Ellis' decision to opt out. Sacramento is hoping to add an additional guard to play that can potentially play alongside Darren Collison.

The Lakers acquired Lin in a trade with the Houston Rockets last summer, also acquiring Houston's 2015 first-round pick. That pick became the 27th pick, which the Lakers used to select Larry Nance Jr.
