Los Angeles Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak, vice president of basketball operations Jim Buss, and a few other Lakers staffers are in attendance to watch Kristaps Porzingis' work out for NBA executives in Las Vegas (Here is a full list of players that executives will be watching in Vegas). Porzingis has been steadily climbing up mock draft boards, with the latest DraftExpress mock projecting the Latvian being selected third overall by the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Lakers have been widely reported to be leaning toward either Jahlil Okafor/ or Karl-Anthony Towns, with the latest reports stating the team is "locked in" on selecting Okafor after his impressive Tuesday workout, and are likely just doing due diligence on Porzingis. At a 7'0 and 220 pounds, the 19-year old would not appear to be a sizeable enough rim protector to play alongside the Lakers most recent lottery selection Julius Randle, but Porzingis does hold tantalizing potential. The young stretch-four shot a scintillating 45.9 percent from three-point range during 16 games of Eurocup play this season with Baloncesto Sevilla, and the Sixers are reportedly "extremely high" on Porzingis. ESPN Insider and NBA Draft expert Chad Ford has even previously reported the Lakers are investigating taking Porzingis second overall, but that he doubts "they have the guts to take him that high."
Regardless of how real the possibility is of the Lakers selecting Porzingis actually is, you had to know Mitch Kupchak would come ready to outclass everyone in the building:
It's 90 degrees. Mitch Kupchak is suited (most professional looking person in the building) with what appears to be staff of 5.

Ninjas are not weak against heat. That is just a fact.
