Like most readers of this blog, Kobe Bryant has been watching the 2015 NBA Finals, and the five-time champion appears to have enjoyed the Herculean performance of LeBron James (highlights courtesy of Grantland):
James has averaged 41 points, 12 rebounds, and 8.3 assists per game while carrying the injury depleted Cleveland Cavaliers to a 2-1 Finals lead over the heavily favored Golden State Warriors, but the number many have stuck on is James' 35.7 shots per game. Bryant took to Twitter with a message for those critics:
Can't win a shootout with a butter knife #letitfly https://t.co/57zWQzqsfg

#letitfly may be the greatest advice ever given. We should all live our lives, and do our jobs, with such a mindset.
Got a term paper due tomorrow morning? #letitfly
Need to make a full meal for your entire family in less than 45 minutes because you procrastinated? #letitfly
Trying to escape the fighting pits on your dragon? #let #it #fly
It's hard to think of a situation where #letitfly is not a good idea. It's the new #YOLO.
Bryant also approves of the Cavaliers effort as a team, and thinks the Warriors are leaving something on the floor:
Cavs playing as if their life is on the line G.S playing as if they have more #NBAFinals down the line #ThisIsNOW #competitionIsEverything

Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and the rest of the Warriors just need to take Bryant's advice and #letitfly. As a great man once said: "Can't win a shootout with a butter knife." And if you disagree with that, Bryant has some advice for you:
