The Los Angeles Lakers continue mining the incoming draft class, bringing in a group featuring a slew of options for the team with the 27th and 34th picks in the 2015 NBA Draft. George de Paula, Terran Petteway, Rakeem Christmas, Tyler Harvey, J.P. Tokoto and Brandon Ashley worked out for the Lakers.
De Paula -- an international prospect out of Brazil -- impressed during the draft combine in Chicago and found his way into one of the Lakers' two groups they'll be hosting Monday. He's a raw prospect, but an intriguing one who just turned 19 in May. De Paula measured in at 6'4.5 without shoes with an astounding seven-foot wingspan at the combine. He also measured in with the second-longest hand length out of all prospects, and he impressed scouting departments during his competitive play session. His size and length project to be great at the NBA level.
Here's DraftExpress's scouting video on De Paula:
Tyler Harvey is another deep-draft prospect worth a look because of his potential to become a lethal three-point shooter. He averaged an astonishing 9.6 three-point attempts per game at Eastern Washington and connected at a 40.9 percent clip. He'll have to prove he can get his shot off against NBA defenses, but the Lakers desperately need to find a shooting specialist to develop. With that, here's a nice clip of him draining six threes against Georgetown:
The Lakers provided media player profiles, and Serena Winters of Lakers Nation continues to pass them along:
