The Los Angeles Lakers are preparing for a busy 2015 NBA draft, which in addition to the second overall pick, the team also holds the 27th and 34th picks in. Mitch Kupchak and Jim Buss were among a large group of Lakers' personnel to attend a workout of players affiliated with BDA Sports at the University of California Santa Barbara today. According to Eric Pincus of the LA Times, attendees also included Ryan West, Pat Riley, and Bernie Bickerstaff.

Among the notable players working out at the event were Frank Kaminsky, Stanley Johnson, Robert Upshaw, Kelly Oubre, and Andrew and Aaron Harrison. Kaminsky, Johnson, and Oubre are all projected to go much higher than either of the Lakers later selections, but Upshaw has an outside chance to fall to No. 27 and the Harrison twins will both most likely be available with the Lakers later picks.

Mitch Kupchak recently said "It may be a little much to add three more young players," but until the team decides what to do with all of its draft picks, the front office will have to look at all of their options. In the process of doing their due diligence, they will have to work out countless players they will not end up selecting.  This is the first of many similar workouts the Lakers will be attending in the lead up to the draft.
