The Los Angeles Lakers received the huge news that they won the No. 2 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft and the experts are already releasing the first batch of mock drafts with the order finally set in stone. Los Angeles is in a great spot, having their choice between who's left between either of the top-two big men, and the latest mocks drafts project Jahlil Okafor will be the Lakers' center of the future.
Okafor was widely-considered the unanimous top pick of the draft to start the college season, but Karl-Anthony Towns' two-way play has many analysts expecting him to go first-overall. Jahlil may have questions regarding his ability to defend, but he's one of the most polished post playmakers coming out of college in years and would make an immediate impact for the Lakers.

ESPN's Chad Ford writes Okafor would be a "great get" for the Lakers. He may not be considered the defensive anchor Towns is, but Okafor's scoring talents should make for a great pairing with Julius Randle. Here's what Ford had to say about the Duke standout, via ESPN (Insider):
The Lakers would probably prefer Towns because of his shot blocking ability, but Okafor is a great get here. Pair him on the front line with last year's lottery pick, Julius Randle and First Team All Rookie Team guard Jordan Clarkson and the Lakers finally have some real pieces to build around. Offensively, Okafor is the most gifted young big man I've seen in a decade. He has great feed and hands and plays with a great feel for the game. He's going to average 20 ppg in the league. If Okafor can keep that slimmed down physique he showed off in New York this week, he may end up surprising us all on the defensive end.
DraftExpress also projects Okafor to the Lakers, with Towns going first-overall.
The Lakers and Timberwolves will surely host both big men, along with lottery prospects ready to make their way to the NBA, so this is all subject to changing over the next few weeks. Los Angeles having their pick of any of these players is a huge step forward, and no matter who it winds up being, the chance at a blue chip prospect is all that matters heading into draft night.
Prepare for workouts, interviews and more mock drafts leading up to draft night on June 25.
