With the 2015 NBA draft lottery less than a week away, Mitch Kupchak is a "worry-wart", the Lakers general manager tells the LA Daily News' Mark Medina:
"It's completely out of our control. But I'm somewhat of a worry-wart," Kupchak said on Thursday in an interview with the Los Angeles News Group. "I know our percentage is very high that we end up with a top-five pick, but I have to prepare for if we don't get it. We'll be prepared either way."
Kupchak did not elaborate on what preparations the Lakers are making for the possibility of losing the pick, but at least the front office is preparing for every scenario. Here is our best guess at what the Lakers plan is should they lose the pick:
Kupchak won't be alone among Los Angelenos making that face should the lottery balls bounce the wrong way for the Lakers on May 19th.
