Los Angeles Lakers top-five stories of the week

What been going on a Laker Land? Here's a quick rundown of some of the biggest storylines as the season comes to an end.

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

1. Jordan Clarkson is playing so well he deserves a first team All-Rookie nod.

2. Speaking of Clarkson, he considered hanging up his sneakers after he found out his father had cancer. He didn't and here he is, shining in Southern California.

3. The Lakers' "other" rookie, Julius Randle, is practicing. It's a nice pick-me-up to see him moving on the court after the devastating leg injury. Check out some videos and pictures of him getting back to the grind.

4. The Steve Nash era officially ended as the Lakers waived the veteran -- and retired -- point guard to make-way for Jabari Brown's multi-year contract. So long Nash, we hardly knew ye.

5. The Lakers and Magic are neck and neck in draft lottery standings as the season winds down. Laker fans probably won't be feeling any less stressed over needing losses until the season is finally over. This is way too close for comfort.
