Los Angeles Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak divulged that head coach Byron Scott would represent the team at the draft lottery on Fred Roggin's radio show this morning (as captured by Pro Basketball Talk). Fans will need to hope Scott is the team's lucky charm, because as has been much discussed this year, the Lakers will lose their pick to Philadelphia if it does not stay within the top five.
Reaction on "Lakers Twitter" was less than positive:
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO RT @MarkG_Medina Byron Scott will be the Lakers' NBA Draft lottery representative.

If they keep their pick/move up, will he uncross his arms when celebrating? https://t.co/LA83Jmb1DN

Byron is representing us at the draft lottery? Welp, we're screwed.

For the Lakers sake, hopefully Scott is better at winning lotteries than he was at winning games this year.
