The Los Angeles Lakers collide with the only team on a longer losing streak in the league when the Detroit Pistons come to town. One team will walk away finally breaking out of their rut, at least for a night. The other will continue it's descent into madness.
Oh, right, basketball.
The Lakers are starting to tinker with their roster, signing D-Fender and scoring guard Jabari Brown to a 10-day contract. He's with the team tonight, but Byron Scott said the earliest he'll play is likely Thursday, reports Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News. Mitch Kupchak is digging into their development system to see what's been brewing, which is a good sign. Brown's played well against D-league competition, and the Lakers are without Nick Young until further notice.
It's worth keeping an eye on Greg Monroe and Reggie Jackson, who will be restricted free agents this summer. The Pistons have been making major moves with their roster with Stan Van Gundy taking control of both head coaching and general manager duties, How they manage this summer will be a big step for the franchise.
March Madness is setting in, and the lure of the Lakers getting closer to one of those tantalizing players has swept much of the fan base. Enjoy the games while you can, though, there are only 20 of these left after all.
