Los Angeles Lakers bench scorer Nick Young is an unabashed fan of rapper/businessman/shoe mogul Kanye West. Earlier this year Young, much like West, switched his endorsement deal from Nike to Adidas and later wore Kanye's signature Yeezy shoes in a game for the Lakers. Young wasn't done showing his love for Kanye, as just four days later he came out and endorsed West for president in the year 2020 when speaking to the media after a Lakers game, saying "Hell yeah I'm voting for Kanye" when asked about his political preferences (West earlier this year claimed he will run for President that year at the MTV VMA's).

Young's love almost went unrequited by West in the year 2015, until Kanye decided to release his newest single on Sound Cloud on December 31st as the year came to a close. In the new song, titled "Facts", Kanye disses his former label Nike before giving his fellow Adidas pitchmen Young and Houston Rockets' guard James Harden a shout-out towards the end, rapping

"I done told y'all, all I needed was the infrastructure
Now we hottest in the streets, it ain't no discussion
James Harden, Swaggy P runnin' up the budget"

Nick Young was pumped about the song, but played it cool about getting name-checked:

Young's teammates know him better than that, however, and tried to predict his reaction on Twitter:

Nick Young scoring 50 points against the Philadelphia 76ers in the Lakers' next game on New Year's Day is a virtual certainty at this point. Kanye/Swaggy 2020.
