Lakers vs. Celtics Final Score: Lakers' youngsters deliver 112-104 victory in Kobe Bryant's final game in Boston

Kobe Bryant had an off night in his final game in Boston against the Celtics but the Los Angeles Lakers played well as a team in a 112-104 victory. Bryant wasn't efficient but a long three-pointer from Kobe with 1:40 left in the fourth quarter gave the Lakers enough lift to fend off a late comeback from the Celtics.

Julius Randle relied on his handle to get inside much of the night on offense, then muscled his way for a game-high 12 rebounds to go with 15 points for a double-double. Jordan Clarkson had a hot night, scoring 24 points on 10-of-15 shooting, including a handful of late-game buckets to help keep Boston at bay. Lou Williams added in 19 points, making seven of his nine shot attempts.

Russell turned it on in the second quarter, scoring nine straight points for the Lakers and helping lead a surge to take the lead. He ended the night with 16 points, closing the night on the bench after being subbed out at the 4:34 mark. D'Angelo and Julius both had solid games in their first crack at the Lakers' historical rivals.

The Lakers had solid guard play, including some great cutting and dives to the rim for points in the paint, and had impressive efforts. Bryant's final game in Boston amounted to 15 points (5-of-18 shooting), 11 rebounds and three assists. Isaiah Thomas scored a team-high 24 points for Boston.

Beating Boston is always a plus, and doing so on the road in Kobe's final appearance at TD Garden is a great way to close that chapter of his career. The Lakers are off Thursday, heading back to Los Angeles to host the 76ers for their first game of 2016 on Friday.
