The Los Angeles Lakers will spend their Christmas night taking on the Los Angeles Clippers in the latest edition of their battle for Staples Center bragging rights, the last game of the NBA's five game Christmas Day basketball blowout. Playing against a far superior Clippers squad may seem like coal in Lakers fans stockings, but leading 2016 All-Star game vote-getter Kobe Bryant's final Christmas Day game will be worth a watch.
While Lakers players are probably not thrilled with having to work on Christmas, one advantage of participating in the late game is that the evening start time did allow the team to spend the morning with their families, and Nick Young took advantage of this time to watch his son open presents. The Lakers' bench scorer, who is quietly shooting 37.3% from three-point range in 19.7 minutes per game, shared a video of the father-son bonding on Instagram, and it was adorable:
If you are wondering if Nick Young had a matching costume to his son's Santa outfit, well, the answer is yes:
Young's fellow ebullient bench wing, Metta World Peace, also posted a few photos of his family's holiday cheer:
Kobe Bryant's wife, Vanessa Bryant, also posted a video wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, and the Lakers shared a video of Bryant's best Christmas Day dunks:
Enjoy the holidays everyone, from the Lakers and Silver Screen and Roll.
