Lakers vs. Trail Blazers Preview: Lakers get back on their bicycle in Portland

The Lakers get a chance to show some adjustments after getting burned by Damian Lillard and the Trail Blazers just two games ago.

The Los Angeles Lakers end their Thanksgiving break, travelling up to Oregon to face the Portland Trail Blazers for the second time in three games. Last go around Damian Lillard dropped 30 points and a career-high 13 assists on the purple and gold. It was also a game featuring Portland blazing up and down the court for fastbreak buckets while the Lakers' put up just two points in transition.

They'll look for a much different outcome than getting ran out of the gym, especially coming off of another huge layover between games. D'Angelo Russell started off strong against Portland last time around, but never found his rhythm again after tweaking his ankle in the third quarter. We'll see how he looks with another crack at Lillard.

And, as the Lakers get back to business, it'll be interesting to see how they respond to getting punched square in the mouth by the Golden State Warriors last we saw them. Kobe Bryant seemed dejected following his 1-of-14 performance, and the Lakers were roared out of Oakland just as expected. Lakers head coach Byron Scott plans on tweaking minutes within his rotation, but Kobe's role and playing time are excluded from those changes.

Bouncing back after three days to reflect on where they are after a 2-12 start is something all Lakers fans would certainly be thankful for. The Lakers will immediately turn their plane around back to Los Angeles to host the Indiana Pacers for the second half of their third back-to-back of the season. Enjoy the game!
