Check out video of the Lakers' last scrimmage before their preseason opener

How does the team look before their first exhibition game?

Before the Los Angeles Lakers tip off their preseason with the first of two matchups against the Utah Jazz in Hawaii on Sunday at 6 p.m. Pacific Time, the team got in another scrimmage on Saturday. After sitting out of Friday's practice, D'Angelo Russell (bone bruise) returned to the floor on Saturday, as did Kobe Bryant (rest) and Metta World Peace (sore calf), while Marcelo Huertas (right hamstring strain) and Larry Nance, Jr. (back spasms) were held out to rest their ailments, according to Mike Trudell of Lakers.com, who also reported that Lakers head coach Byron Scott called both injuries "minor."

The highlights of the practice session were definitely Kobe turning back the clock for one more crazy fadeaway jumper and Julius Randle showing off his unique combination of talents with a fast break initiated bullrush to the rim, but Serena Winters of Lakers Nation was on the scene at the University of Hawaii and was kind enough to once again give us at home a glimpse of the portion of the scrimmage open to the media:

Less than 24-hours remain until we can watch the team on TV, but until then their practice sessions are definitely worth a watch.
