One of the reasons Julius Randle is so hard to find a good professional comparison for is the uniqueness of his game. The Los Angeles Lakers' 2014 lottery pick may have missed essentially the entire 2014-15 season with a broken leg, but he has been impressing during the team's training camp while showing off his fascinating skillset.
One of the reasons many were so high on Randle's game in college and heading into the draft was his tantalizing combination of size, speed, and ball handling ability make him a potential nightmare matchup in transition. As the NBA moves more and more towards the pace and space revolution, Randle's gifts could make him a really valuable piece for the Lakers going forward. In this scrimmage on the fifth day of the Lakers' training camp on Saturday, Mike Trudell of Lakers.com took this video of Randle running out off of a miss and then leading the break before driving through contact and scoring a layup:

As someone who counts Lamar Odom among his favorite players ever, that was really fun to watch for yours truly.
