Haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, and the Los Angeles Clippers are going to continue to cover up anything signifying that someone other than them has had success. In August, Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant joined singer Taylor Swift on stage at her concert at Staples Center and presented her with a banner to hang in the rafters signifying her record 16 sold-out shows in the venue. At the time, people on social media made many a joke about Swift hanging a banner in Staples before the Clippers, or saying the Clippers would cover it up.
Well guess what? It actually happened! No word yet on whether Steve Ballmer or Doc Rivers just do not like Swift's music, the number 16, or just the success of others, but Swift's banner joined the Lakers' retired jerseys and 16 championship banners in being covered up by a black tarp as the Clippers kick off their preseason with a game against the Denver Nuggets:
For those wondering the Taylor Swift banner is covered up as well. pic.twitter.com/xRz4dWkccf

Welp. At least this season they aren't covered up with selfies.
