The Los Angeles Lakers got their third win of the preseason, taking a 104-102 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on a late dunk by Ryan Kelly. Kelly finished the game with nine points. Jordan Clarkson led the way for the Lakers with 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting. The second-year guard also had three assists and four rebounds in 24 minutes of action. Los Angeles used a 30-23 fourth quarter advantage to close out Portland.

Clarkson got plenty of help from the bench. Marcelo Huertas dropped eight points and dished out eight assists in just under 19 minutes of action, including this fancy pass to Nick Young. Young was second in scoring with 12 points but shot poorly from the field. The mercurial forward was 4-of-13 from the field and 3-for-10 from behind the arc.

Julius Randle played just 12 minutes and finished two points, six rebounds and four assists. He didn't make any of his three attempts from the field in an effort to get other players involved. Rookie D'Angelo Russell had 12 points in his 15 minutes of action. The rookie point guard shot 4-7 from the floor and surprisingly didn't tally a single assist. Russell scored eight points in the final five minutes to help the Lakers seal the win.

Los Angeles did an excellent job containing Portland from the floor. The Trail Blazers shot 41 percent from the field and 33 percent from three. Damian Lillard led all scorers with 20 points for the Trail Blazers. Maurice Harkless added 15 points and C.J. McCollum and Allen Crabbe each had 10.

The Lakers get a few days off before playing their final preseason game against the Golden State Warriors on Thursday. The game will be nationally televised on TNT.
