Lamar Odom is breathing on his own without a tube and is conscious, but is still considered to be in critical condition, reports Ramona Shelburne of ESPN. Odom has been hospitalized since Tuesday, suffering a medical emergency. He continues to show signs of progress, opening his eyes and speaking "a few words" with those around him.
There have been no official updates on Odom's progress, but several reports are indicating positive signs as he fights for his life. Doctor's are continuing to work toward stabilizing his organs as his condition has been "improving slightly" since being hospitalized, reports Shelburne.
Nye County sheriff Sharon Wehrly read a press release on Odom's hospitalization, including the 911 call that was placed at the site of the incident. Odom was found unconscious at Love Ranch, a brothel in Nevada. The caller requested immediate medical attention for Odom. He's since been transported to Sunrise Hosptial, where family and friends have gathered in support.
These are signs of progress, but Shelburne notes her sources indicate he's "not out of the woods yet." We'll continue to provide updates on any developments on Lamar Odom's health.
