We're getting ready for a brand new season of Los Angeles Lakers basketball, so to count down the days we'll be looking at the best Lakers to wear the number. We'll continue at 27 days until the regular season begins, with an energy bench guy who earned a starting roll.
Who wore it the best: Jordan Hill

Jordan Hill was selected with the 8th overall pick in 2009 NBA draft by the New York Knicks. After stints in New York and Houston, Jordan Hill played 3 and a half years for the Lakers. At the trade deadline of the 2011-12 season, Jordan Hill was traded to the LA Lakers for Derek Fisher and a protected first round draft pick. He would have a hard time winning over Lakers fans as he was traded for one of the most beloved Lakers during the 2000's.
In Hill's early years with the Lakers, he was known for his relentless pursuit of rebounds. As his playing time increased over the years, his energy on the boards seemed to decrease. After 3 and a half years in the Purple & Gold, the Lakers did not exercise Hill's team option at the end of the 2104-15 season. He signed a new deal with the Indiana Pacers.
