Los Angeles Lakers reporter Mike Trudell caught up with Nick Young at the Lakers training facility in El Segundo and conducted a full interview to see what Swaggy P had been up to this summer. Forget the New York Fashion Week trip, his adventures with Iggy Azalea, and his son draining Pop-a-Shot buckets -- he's established a nickname for rookie Jordan Clarkson to call him all season: "Daddy Swag."
"That's their first part of rookie duties. I'm a little vet now so I'm about to have fun with these young guys," Swaggy P told Trudell. He also crafted a nickname Julius Randle has to call him, but the rookie wouldn't reveal what it is when asked by Trudell.
Young goes into actual details in the interview, revealing he's been working on his defense as the Lakers expect him to be a complete two-way player this year, especially with Kobe Bryant returning. He also notes that coming to the gym with Scott at the helm has been "totally different." Be sure to catch everything Swaggy P had to say to Trudell in the full interview over here on the official Lakers website.
This new batch of Lakers is preparing for a tough training camp, with Media Day coming on Sept. 29 and their first preseason game on Oct. 6 in San Diego.
