The Los Angeles Lakers have officially announced Media Day will be held on Sept. 29 at 4 p.m. PT. The yearly spectacle is held at their training facility in El Segundo, and marks the beginning of the 2014-2015 NBA season for teams league-wide.
What can you expect on this day? Tons of photos, quotes, videos, tweets, sound bytes and much more. This is the first time the new Lakers team will be bombarded with cameras and interview requests, so it should prove to be an eventful day as the NBA begins firing on all cylinders again.
If one were to prognosticate which players we'll hear, and see, the most of it'd have to be Kobe Bryant, Jeremy Lin and incoming rooking Julius Randle. The Lakers may be expected to have another down year, but as we've written here, there's still plenty of intrigue in the purple and gold.
And hey, the Lakers and rest of the NBA all start with the same record, so what better time to feel hope and optimism than a fresh new season of basketball? It's like the first day of school all over again.
