2014 Lakers Mock Draft: Marcus Smart, Noah Vonleh projected to Los Angeles in early mocks

The results are in, as are the first batch of mocks.

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

The first batch of NBA mock draft are in now that the order for the 2014 Draft has been solidified. The Los Angeles Lakers drop to seven was tough, but the team is still in range of a handful of highly-regarded players. Maybe they aren't in range of Jabari Parker, Andrew Wiggins or the other players in the mix at the top, but they'll still get close to the pick of the litter.

SB Nation's Ricky O'Donnell has the Lakers taking Marcus Smart out of Oklahoma State with the seventh-overall pick, as does Yahoo Sports' first mock. NBA Draft Net also projects the Lakers will take Smart. He would have likely been a top-three pick last season (rumors suggested the Orlando Magic would have selected him at No.2 ) but saw his stock drop after deciding to spend another season in school. He's an interesting prospect who could fill out a position that has been a rotating door for a few years, but the Lakers still have Kendall Marshall on contract to continue developing as a cheap option at the position, and could possibly bring back Jordan Farmar on another small deal.

Either way, Smart's name will definitely be in the mix. Here's a good video from DraftExpress on Smart's game:

Noah Vonleha prospect that our very own Ben Rosales pointed to as a key player to watch going into the draft, lands in Los Angeles in both CBS Sports' Zach Harper and DraftExpress' first mock draft. Vonleh impressed at the combine and had the second-largest hand measurements ever recorded Seriously, he's got massive paws:

Here's DraftExpress again, this time on Vonleh:

Expect many more shifts with Vonleh, Smart, Julius Randle and Aaron Gordon leading up to the draft on June 26.
