Lakers vs Hornets Live Game Thread

The LA Lakers host the Charlotte Bobcats Hornets tonight at Staples Center. Tip off is set for 6:30 pm PST.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Tonight, the LA Lakers will play the Charlotte Hornets, the team formerly known as the Bobcats. In what has been one of the toughest opening schedules in the NBA, the Lakers stumble into what is probably their first winnable game. And with 4 days off for rest and practice, if they dont win this one, they may go until mid november until they see a non-playoff team. The Lakers will be without Nick Young (thumb surgery), while Steve Nash & Julius Randle have both been ruled out for the season. For a more in depth summary of tonight's match up, check out the game preview: Lakers vs Hornets Preview. Here are tonight's projected starters:

Los Angeles Lakers Charlotte Hornets
PG Jeremy Lin
Kemba Walker
SG Kobe Bryant Gary Neal
SF Wesley Johnson Lance Stephenson
PF Carlos Boozer Marvin Williams
C Jordan Hill
Al Jefferson

Your drinking triggers for tonight include anyone mentioning:

  • The Lakers win-less start to the season.

  • Former Lakers assistant coach Steve Clifford.

  • The Hornets name change.

  • The Lakers having 4 days off since their last game.

  • Robert Sacre dance moves.
