Ryan Kelly continues to deal with hamstring issues despite the Los Angeles Lakers' effort to stay conservative with his time on the court. Kelly re-aggravated his hamstring injury during the Lakers' loss to the Golden State Warriors and will meet with doctors on Monday, the team announced. Kelly will not travel with the Lakers as they begin a three-game road trip. Their first stop is against the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday.
Kelly's injury occurred during the second quarter, as he was visibly limping on the court before checking out and going directly back to the locker room. He sat out preseason as he dealt with strains in both of his hamstrings, and has played in just three games for a total of 25 minutes through the Lakers' first nine contests.
The Lakers' second-year forward could meet with the team during the three-game trip, but it will depend on the outlook on his injury after he's looked at.
