The 2013-2014 Los Angeles Lakers schedule has been officially released. The Lakers open their season against the Los Angeles Clippers on October 29. The Lakers play the Miami Heat on Christmas Day. Their first meet with the Houston Rockets is November 7, but Dwight Howard will face the Lakers in Los Angeles for the first time on February 19.
The Lakers have 19 back-to-back games, up from 16 in the 2012-2013 season, and open the season with a back-to-back that ends on the road against the Golden State Warriors. The annual Grammy road trip opens against the Phoenix Suns and includes the Boston Celtics, Toronto Raptors, Chicago Bulls, Miami Heat, Orlando Magic and a trip to Madison Square Garden to face the New York Knicks.
Other returns to Los Angeles of note include the trio of Mike Brown, Earl Clark and Andrew Bynum (should he play this season) on January 14 and Metta World Peace on March 25.
