The Lakers are now one loss away from their season coming to an end after losing Game 3 in Los Angeles.

The San Antonio Spurs have taken a 3-0 series lead with a 120-89 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers starting backcourt of Andrew Goudelock and Darius Morris wasn't able to kick start the miraculous tale of two unlikely guards leading one of the NBA's most storied franchises of all-time, and the Lakers are now on the brink of elimination.

Tim Duncan was dominant through the game. He was lining up his shots and sinking them in the face of his defender through most of the game, going 12-of-15 from the field. Duncan finished with 26 points and 12 rebounds. Tony Parker also scored 20 points and had seven assists.

Overall, the Spurs shot 61 percent from the field. Shorthanded and unfamiliar, the Lakers only put up 43 percent shooting.

Pau Gasol put together his first career playoff triple-double with 11 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists. Goudelock scored 20 points on 8-of-17 shooting. He showed the scoring ability he had flashed when he was with the team through the 2011-2012 NBA season and even put in a few of his trademark floaters. Morris scored 24 points in his first career playoff start.

Dwight Howard had a team high 25 points while also pulling down 11 rebounds for a double-double.

Game 4 is Sunday in Los Angeles. The Lakers will put on their Sunday whites and try to extend their season another game. From the looks of Game 3, though, the Lakers may not have much fight left while stripped down to the bottom of their roster.

A long, injury-riddled, journey is one loss away from coming to an end.
