The Lakers can't stay healthy--not even for one day.
On a night that saw the returns of Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol from injuries, Antawn Jamison left the game late in the third quarter on a blocked dunk attempt with an apparent wrist injury. The reserve forward was seen visibly wincing and grabbing his right wrist on the bench via the TWC Sportsnet broadcast and didn't play for the rest of the game. From anyone's viewpoint, it didn't look good.
Today, Ramona Shelburne of ESPNLA tweeted and update:
Source says Jamison has a slight tear in wrist but he's "going to gut it out"

While it's good news to know that Jamison will gut out an injury when the team badly needs a back-up big, it's extremely worrisome to know that the malady comes on his shooting hand. Time will tell how bad this tear actually is and how much it'll affect his game, but this shouldn't come as a shock to anyone that's seen perhaps the most cursed season in Los Angeles Lakers history.
