Dwight Howard intends to play in the All-Star game next weekend barring any setbacks with his shoulder, according to ESPN Los Angeles' Ramona Shelburne.

Dwight has played in 46 of the Lakers 52 games and has missed a handful of contests due to the torn labrum in his right shoulder he intends to play through. As recently as last week Dwight was missing games, despite being medically cleared, because of soreness in his shoulder. He also went on record with Stephen A. Smith stating his back was only at 75%, and his legs tingle and go numb during games.
So, what better time to play a meaningless exhibition games then now?!
Despite repeatedly saying his long term health was his primary concern, and missing critical regular season games during the Lakers seven game road trip, it appears Dwight will play on and take part in All-Star weekend (even though there being plenty of reasons for Dwight to NOT play).
