The Los Angeles Lakers face the Houston Rockets Thursday and will start Chris Kaman at power forward, reports ESPN's Dave McMenaminReports came out Wednesday that Mike D'Antoni would be adjusting the lineup by removing Shawne Williams but remained undecided on whether Jordan Hill or Kaman would start to match up with the Rockets' frontcourt of Omer Asik and Dwight Howard.

Kaman is currently shooting 61 percent from the floor and averaging nine points per game off the bench. His ability to space the floor between 15 ft. and the three-point line has been one of the early season successes for the Lakers' offense.

The Lakers starting lineup will be Steve Nash, Steve Blake, Xavier Henry, Chris Kaman and Pau Gasol.

It's unclear whether this change will be permanent or if it will be on a case-by-case basis depending on the opponent. Another aspect to take note of going forward is how Kaman starting will affect the frontcourt rotation behind the starters.
