With the injury news on Dwight Howard releasing (he will miss at least one week with a torn labrum in his right shoulder), the hits keep on coming. Pau Gasol will be unavailable for the next two games after suffering a concussion against the Denver Nuggets. Gasol took an elbow to the face, specifically the nose, and began gushing blood. He didn't play for the remainder of the game. Now, he won't even make the road trip, per Lakers.com reporter Mike Trudell.

So no Dwight Howard, and no Pau Gasol for this upcoming stretch of games. In a season that desperately needs to be resuscitated this is close to being the worst injury news possible happening at the same time. With Pau, however, a concussion is something that will come to pass. The biggest issue will be Howard, who could possibly require surgery if the injury is severe enough.
Yeah. It's been that kind of season.
