Dwight Howard may not play Sunday, shoulder is sore

After Dwight Howard was stripped of the ball in the post (nothing new there) in last night's contest against the Clippers the big man stayed down at the other end of the court, favoring is shoulder. Now, it appears he may miss Sunday's game against the Nuggets due to the soreness in his shoulder.

Dwight Howard was "stripped" by Caron Butler in last night's contest against the Los Angeles Clippers. As the Clippers ran down court Howard stayed on the other end, clearly shaken. The Lakers called timeout and Gary Vitti checked on Howard, who was favoring his shoulder. Howard played on, but post-game said his shoulder was sore. Perhaps it wasn't the best choice in a losing effort, as Eric Pincus reports that Howard may now miss Sunday's contest against the Denver Nuggets.

The pile of health issues the Lakers have faced this season is beginning to resemble the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Howard, who hasn't looked 100% healthy at any point this season, now has another problem. Though, from what we know at this point, it shouldn't be considered serious so if he needs to take a game off to let it heal so be it. Just please, Lakers. Get healthy. All of you.
